Louis Martinez practices exclusively in the area of Criminal Law and specializes in DWI Defense. A 2002 graduate of the University of Texas Law School, he interned with United States District Court Magistrate John W. Primomo and was a law clerk at the Houston office of Beirne, Maynard &. Parsons, LLP, one of this State's preeminent litigation firms.
Louis began trying criminal jury trials almost immediately after opening his office and won his first nine DWI trials in a row and thirteen of his first fifteen. By the age of 28, he was appointed by the San Antonio City Council as an Associate Municipal Judge, presiding over traffic cases and trials. In 2009, Mr. Martinez was selected by the Felony Judges of Bexar County to represent defendants in Capital Murder cases. The following year he became the youngest attorney in a generation to defend a Death Penalty case in Bexar County, convincing a jury to deny the District Attorney's request for a death sentence. Mr. Martinez has continued to maintain an active practice with regard to murder, manslaughter, and other homicide cases, and was the first attorney in Bexar County to defend a Felony DWI Murder to a jury.
Since joining Robert Price and forming Price & Martinez, Louis' practice has focused primarily on DWI Defense, but he is also representing clients charged with Drug Possession (State and Federal), Intoxication Assault, Intoxication Manslaughter, Aggravated Robbery, Sexual Offenses, Murder, and numerous Misdemeanor Offenses.
Louis is married to Bianca Valenzuela and has 4 children. He is very active in St. Anthony Mary Claret Church and Parish.

LOUIS DAVID MARTINEZ
Robert Price graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas in 1971 and the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in 1968. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965.
His first job was with the Bexar County District Attorney’s office (1972-73). Since then, he has been a criminal defense attorney in private practice. He has been Board Certified in criminal law since 1979 and has served on the Texas Board of Legal Specialization Criminal Law Advisory Commission, the State Bar Penal Code Committee and State Bar Criminal Procedure Committee.
Robert is a past President of the San Antonio Bar Association (1985-86) as well as elected to the Board of Directors from 1979-1987. He was elected to the State Bar Board of Directors serving from 1987 to 1990. He was Chairman of the Board of the San Antonio Bar Foundation from 1993 to 1995.
He was on the Board of Directors of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and is a member of the Texas Bar Foundation, the San Antonio Bar Association, and the State Bar College. Robert is licensed to practice in Texas and Colorado. He is a member of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also licensed in the United States District Court, Western District of Texas; United States Court of Appeals-5th Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. He was the Chairman of the Federal Courts Admissions Committee for over ten years in charge of admitting attorneys to membership to the Federal Court in San Antonio and the Western District of Texas.
Robert has been the course Co-Director for the San Antonio Criminal Law Institute for the past thirty five years from 1981 to 2016. This seminar is the first organized seminar in Texas, averaging over 275 attendees in past years.
Robert has spoken at various criminal law seminars for the Texas Criminal Lawyers Association, the State Bar of Texas- Criminal Law Section, San Antonio Bar Association; Dallas, Houston, and Austin Bar Association Criminal Law Seminars as well as the State Bar Criminal Law Specialization Course numerous years. He was the Course Director for the 1993 and 1994 Texas Criminal Defense Criminal Seminar "Rusty Duncan Advanced Criminal Law Seminar", the premier criminal law course in Texas attended by over 800 criminal defense lawyers every year.
Robert was on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Library Foundation; Board of Directors for Contemporary Art at the Museum of Art in San Antonio, Vice-President and Board of Directors for the Blue Star Art Space, showing contemporary alternative art; Board of Directors of the Friends of the McNay Art Museum; Board of Directors of Museo Alameda-Smithsonian; member of the Museum of Modem Art (MOMA), Whitney Museum, and the Metropolitian Museum of Art in New York City; and current ARTPACE Benefactor and Linda Pace Foundation donor.
His most memorable achievement was being crowned King Anchovy for Cornyation during Fiesta in San Antonio.
He has practiced Criminal Law exclusively since 1971. He practices with his law partner, Louis Martinez, here in San Antonio. Robert is married to Luisa Wheeler who has three adult children and four grandchildren.

Legal Assistant, Kendra Sierra, is onginally from El Paso, Texas, and has been working in San Antonio since 2010. While in El Paso she worked for District Court Judge Sam Medrano, whose court only handled felony criminal cases. Mrs. Sierra was his Chief Clerk of the Court. She has one son, Alexander.
Legal Assistant, Drew Brown, is a native of San Antonio. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. She has been a legal assistant for over 44 years. Her experience in the civil and criminal fields has become quite extensive. Drew has one son, Jay, and two grandchildren.
